You can cach a bus from Washington/College Park or Baltimore to NYC for 50 bucks. Many buses leave the area for NYC every day. So, for a Sunday 4:30 start you can get back in time to get up on Monday and don't have to pay NYC prices for a hotel. Makes the game very attractive for MD fans.Vols represented well but we were definitely outnumbered by a good margin. Maryland had the advantage of proximity.
Have no idea other than looking at the percentages that seemed about average. It's not unusual for us to have bad shooting nights and it's definitely not unusual for us to force our opponent into a bad shooting night. It’s only games sponsored by Spalding that use this ball
No team out of 8 shot above 36% from 3 playing in this event, which I think is a good indicator since half shot below 30% with Maryland shooting 8%. Iona and St Bonaventure, for example, probably had a lot of dunks where ball quality didn’t matter because each team had like 20 turnovers. If you just watched the ball, it literally bounced differently
I like me some eeyore. One of my favorites.I really wonder, when and why, in the storied history of Tennessee athletics, BVS took such a hold of a significant portion of this fanbase. Eeyore is alive and well -- but I don't know why.

Yeah, I get that. Stats by Will did an analysis and found that Spalding ball games have a ~5% lower jumpshot FG% than other games. It’s hard to notice that in small samples.Have no idea other than looking at the percentages that seemed about average. Yep. It's got a grass roof and in the shape of a bird nest. Three stops from lower Manhattan on the subway that drops you off at the front door. It's nice not having to drive and park to go watch a game.I went by it one time. Doesn't it look like a bird's nest on the outside?
Seemed like a good area of Brooklyn.
The nets seem to have misunderstood calls for more “D” as calls for more drama. What a train wreck.Yep. It's got a grass roof and in the shape of a bird nest. Unfortunately the Nets play there, and I hate the f@%&ing Nets.
