The Official #7 Tennessee vs. Alabama Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, ESPN2

I'm glad I didn't turn it on til right before half. Looks like I only missed typical Bama bias on officiating and some poor shooting on our end.

I'd like to see Pons get the ball a lot in the 2nd half. I'm guessing they were cautious with Springer.

Officiating wasn’t THAT bad, it’s being overstated bc we played horrible. The way we were shooting FTs we may be down more if we had officiating on our favor.

Was it Pember that missed those point blank shots towards the end of the half?

He dropped a pass to him for a layup on one possession, then on another he brought the ball down then tried to go up and got stuffed. Then got beat on defense.

That was not a good time for him.

Good news is getting pons back should help the defensive side. Offensively I would guess we start down screening to get Fulkerson more post up looks and try to force the issue inside a little bit. If the refs keep calling it tight we should drive the ball and force contact on every play

Looks a lot like our first two games this year. We missed at least 5 bunnies. Some careless TOs. Missing FTs don’t help. This is a classic game when we should play James at the 4. Bama is doing nothing but going 1x1 off the dribble and when we switch it exposes our bigs on their guards. Bama is bullying us in our half court offense, and someone needs to push back. Springer and Johnson need to start attacking the rim and Fulky needs to get to work.
