Their QB exposed our secondary to the tune of 260 yards. Austin Peay. Unless somebody wants to tell me our defense was playing vanilla coverage tonight.

It is unlikely our goal was to look pedestrian tonight on both sides of the ball. The goal is to establish a standard and it's not by holding back. It makes no sense that we were holding back like Florida doesn't know what offense we run. Lol. Incredible logic from people making that claim.

I'm not going to flame but Heupel is definitely not pressing on the gas and hasn't this entire game.

It's dull. But there's no way this is the best game Heupel could call. There's no way. This doesn't resemble the calls against UVA nor any game we've seen him call.

I'm not an insider. I don't know why he's swallowed the playbook but he has.

It was an ugly effort for the passing game. But, in mismatches, I think the stronger team picks things to work on and works on them rather than making the kind of adjustments they would in a more heavily contested game.

Played a lot of people on defense, tried a couple of different people at center.

When the balls hits the receiver in the hands it should be caught… When they don’t catch it, it goes down as a drop.

Nothing I've seen this year has resembled last year's offense. But again we should have took AP to the woodshed today. We didn't execute at all and most of it was our fault.

For whatever reason, Heupel kept calling the screen to the sidelines and pretty straightforward runs. We had enough success with that to win but the pace was nowhere near the tempo Heupel usually demands from the team. Nowhere near it and Heupel never accelerated the gene to throw APSU off on defense, which is his signature on offense.

Add to that the amount of subs we saw on defense and I'm convinced Heupel was playing less than his normal game.

I've no real idea why but he didn't call the same game at the same speed we've seen since he got to UT.

As frustrated as I was with Majors and Fulmer at times, they were both excellent at getting the wrong opening season starting QB out of there early and the better one in as the new starter. Alan Cockrill in ‘81, Andy Kelly in ‘89, Casey Clausen in ‘00. I’m kinda looking for one of those maneuvers out of Heupel.

Misreads and some wild passes by Milton.

4 to 5 drops at least by the WRs.

Few missed blocks by O lime leading to pressure on Milton.

Nope. Still not right. You said that people were blaming the officials. None of those posts are saying the officiating is the reason Tennessee was performing poorly. They're saying the officiating was terrible. Which it has been. It's been atrocious.

No, the poster is just not a "fan" that turns on the coach and team at the turn of a hat. The game was unimpressive, but it isn't like the best coach UT has had in years suddeny became Beldar. Accept the game was lackluster at best and go on. trashing the coach serves no purpose other that stroke your negaive outlook.
