Stop with the drops. His throws were terrible. The “if you can touch it you can catch it” line of thinking is just ignorant horse. He made a couple good throws all night.
Maybe Milton is sick? Heupel didn’t call any deep balls and we need that to open up run game and short passes. Run game looked good. Defense looked good (for most part). But our qb and WRs tonight were sleep walking, and I don’t get it.
You very well might be right. As I stated earlier, when Huepel tries to run a different style of offense than normal, everything gets out of sync. We ran the normal pace and style twice tonight and scored in less than 90 seconds both times. Nothing in this game flowed like the offense we have seen for the last two years and that includes the mop up duty that Milton had last year. With such a lack of focus and discipline, have to think we spent one day preparing for AP and spent the rest of the week looking to FL. We were very sloppy offensively but I also thought every call went against us. PI in end zone not called and the obvious fumble/non-fumble. I did hear that several of these officials were here for the OM game couple years ago, so who knows.
We won ugly and that is much better than losing pretty.
No onto FL and lets whoop their a$$.
Go Vols!!
He ran the ball pretty well when he scored and he flexed pretty good, too. Saw inconsistent throws like we've seen over his entire career but nothing that made me think he was ill.Maybe Milton is sick? Heupel didn’t call any deep balls and we need that to open up run game and short passes. Run game looked good. Defense looked good (for most part). But our qb and WRs tonight were sleep walking, and I don’t get it.
I hate your kind....blind. and I won't stop either, good luck. Not sunshine pumping, just hate your kind. If you don't like me calling you out. use the ignore button because I will not stop. I will be up for this team and not be wringing my hands and going "OH My" all week like you guys will be. Be negative, be proud.
Milton is the guy that lost his job at Michigan and it wasn’t Harbaugh’s fault.
Milton is also the guy who lost his job to Hooker about 2 years ago - again not the coaches fault.
Play calling had to fall back in having Milton throwing to the sideline - because the coaching wasn’t/isn’t comfortable having Milton throwing anywhere else.
Milton has very little touch in throwing the ball AND he is slow to go through his progressions. Tonight’s opponent wasnt even an average opponent yet Milton struggled mightily.
If Milton remains the starting QB, the Vols will lose at least 4 games, likely 5 games.
