The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

Per Ken Rosenthal of Fox, the Sox have signed 1B Carlos Delgado to a minor-league deal.

Delgado hasn't played since early last season because of hip issues. He is expected to need two weeks or so to get ready.

Sept. 1 seems like a reasonable time to expect him.

the big puma just drew a great walk there. at least he didn't press there. Like granderson's about to do.

After watching the game this morning, I am convinced John Lackey is the biggest nerd in MLB.

Big win wish we cold have at least picked up a game in the series but at least we stood our ground.

With Tampa playing poorly, hopefully we can catch them, the division is pretty much out of reach.

Can this team stay within striking distance until healthy? We shall see.

Red Sox blew another big lead last night & lost on a walk off, this team could be within 2 games of the WC instead their still down 4.

Also, Ellsbury left the game early last night with pain in his ribs & he was put on the DL today. Michael Bowden has been called up.

Jacoby Ellsbury re-fractured his ribs & has shut it down for the season

Mike Cameron had an abdominal surgery & is out for the rest of the season

Jarrod Saltalammachia(sp) has been put on the DL

Dustin Pedroia has been put back on the DL with foot soreness & is likely done for the season.

& that ladies & gentlemen is the story for your 2010 Boston Red Sox, lets start looking toward the offseason now & how Theo will be able to keep this team competitive .

Agreed, it really is time to stop with the wishful thinking.

Johnny Damon told the sox to go eff themselves in their attempt to claim him off waivers.

most likely their attempt was to block others, but he didn't forget how he was treated by the sox fans after he signed with the Yankees.

The fan base never really wanted him back.

His numbers this year are nothing special.

Whether they wanted him back or not, he took offense to how he was treated.

Once again, the Sox most likely put in the waiver move to block someone else. In the mean time, they got a nice little jab in return.

No actually for the past few years the Red Sox fans have told Damon to go eff himself. Were not making the playoffs its plain & simple & I dont know any Sox fan that wanted him back. I know I sure as heck didnt.

Who would have thought that leaving the Red Sox for New York for a few million more would make you a villain in Boston?
