I hate playing for ESPN on Sunday night. Penciled in as a probable getaway day matinee, when they made the schedule, instead flying to Minnesota for a game after a 12:30 finish.

An absolute ridiculous stat here.

Since June 1st, Pedroia is hitting .447 with runners in scoring position.

ANyone else go "wow" after that throw by Salty? Has a cannon.

Yeah I do too..but I think come playoff time we'll be alright.

Tonight showed that even if we get in a 3-4 run deficit, this offense can't be tamed long.

I thought Bedard looked alright, he went 5IP giving up 2R, the ump was being very stingy w/ the strike zone last night so I'm not blaming Bedard for the BBs.

Ortiz got the infield hit b/c the pitcher fell down. Lol.

& I'm surprised nobody is talking about how great Papelbon is pitching right now.

Red Sox have put Youkilis on the 15-day DL, they have called up C/DH Ryan Lavarnway from AAA. Lavarnway will DH & bat 7th tonight.

Ortiz is having a problem w/ his heel, he is in a walking boot & could be out over a week.

Scutaro is having back issues, Aviles is filling in for him at SS while Lowrie is filling in for Youk at 3B.



The injury bug is hitting this team at a bad time. We have struggled since the calendar turned to August (8-8).

Sox starting to get healthy & get hot again. Youk & Drew are suppose to be back at the end of next week.

Also Buchholz could be cleared to start throwing on Sept 1

Getting Clay back would be great, Youk as well. Drew can keep his ass right where it is.
