The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

Rangers tonight and tomorrow. Nice little 2 gamer with maybe the best team in baseball thrown in. Rough schedule to start for the Sox.

Lester vs Colby Lewis tonight on MLB TV, Beckett vs Holland tomorrow on ESPN. Both very good matchups. Can't believe the Twins took that game last night, Yanks must be looking ahead :)

Not exactly the best two games for Lester and Beckett to get on track, but hopefully they come out strong.

Eh I'd say Lester has pretty much got it rolling considering his past April numbers

"The lefty's most recent outing was a complete game. He gave up three hits and three runs in eight innings, walking two and striking out six. He retired 15 straight at one point, but Boston mustered only one run of support."

And Beckett had it going on Friday at Fenway for sure.

Can't lie, I'm expecting a sweep, although their bullpen does impress me.

Glad tonights game is on MLBNewtork & tomorrows is on ESPN. Although it really doesn't matter for me b/c I get NESN through my computer :).

Lavarnway hit his 1st HR of the season last night, read that pitchers have been staying away from him early this season due to his power outburst last year. So far his BA is low but he has drawn 10 BB's.

I usually use first row sports to get live feeds of sporting events.

I also get the mlb.tv package through the internet.

Yea this is what I'm most likely going to end up buying at some point soon.

I haven't tried vipbox.tv yet for baseball, but it worked great for me all fall/winter for Patriots games.

Youk is back in the lineup tonight. Sweeney is also in there

Crawford had 4 ABs in a extended spring training game today.

They are waiting for the swelling to go down in Ellsburys shoulder before doing more test to see if he will def need surgery.

Dr. Yocum looked at Ellsburys MRI & agreed w/ others opinions that he will NOT need surgery. Ellsbury will rest & rehab for 4-8 weeks before returning.

That's good news on Crawford and Ellsbury!

Good start tonight too, Lewis gave up some shots in the first. That ball that Sweeney just hit was scorched!

Signs of a bad outing: Either nowhere near the zone, or directly down the middle...

That is comical, thank you for posting that monstrosity haha

He needs to go away for a little while, I don't care where...he is clearly in waaaaaay over his head at the moment and has no business pitching in the upcoming series with the Yankees.

Bobby V in a real tough spot right now with about 2 guys he can use out of the bullpen that he has any faith in. Pretty much the same situation they were in last Sept, need the starters and the offense to get them thru this right now.
