I guess we'll see if Senor Slive really has a pair! At the least Spikes should get a game suspension! What a dirty bastard!

Had my eye gouged bad enough in a game that it tore part of the socket and had to have it stitched up. Not fun stuff but happens every game.

I agree that this is cheap, but this stuff has always been in football. When you are in a pile this happens all the time.

I remember reading in an inteview with Bill Romanowski (sp?) the former NFL LB and he talked about it in the interview. He admitted how he would grab the ball carriers fingers under the pile and snap them like chicken bones.

If I were a football player I would always where a visor for this specific reason.

I am in now way defending his actions, but this happens all the time, just it is usually not caught so clearly on camera.

Does anyone know if that happen before or after a Georgia guy ripped Spikes helmet off and he sit out a few plays while they tended to his eye?

If I was a UGA player and saw that on the field, I swear I would punt his ribs into the student section. I can't believe his teammates didn't get his back for that kind of stunt, and that Spikes didn't get ejected.

If he isn't suspended the rest of the season, there is something gravely wrong with the SEC, beyond the horrid officiating that's taken place.
