Horacio Ramirez allowed 5 runs in one inning to take a 4 run lead as the Mets(bleh) :yuck: eked out a win over the braves. Atlanta rallied late but came up short. Chipper Jones was held out of the day's action because of the bruised left foot he suffered in yesterday's game.

Hey,
Who let this guy in here? :bad:

Hope to see Smoltzie get some better support soon. :good: He's too good. What a 3 year stint in the bullpen! :good: Been a Braves' fan since 1957. WOW, I must be old!

Dan KOlb almost threw away yet another game for the braves tonight. luckily things were taken care of before he wasted another pitcher's (john smoltz)win AGAIN. get reitsma in there for closer or something and put kolb as a set up pitcher or somethin. i would like to see him be benched completely but we are stuck with the guy for about 3 years and i hate to waste money.

Braves took a 3-0 lead in the first and had a 4-1 lead going into the 9th until Kolb took the mound. Kolb gave up two runs but hung on to win the game.

ok your on.

Derek lee is natorius for starting a season off slow and picking it up in june and july. If he starts off like this, how do you think he will play in june and july.

Peter gammons said that he has been expecting derek to have a big year like this for 2 seasons now. last year he hit 40 hrs and gammons thinks he will hit 50 have 30 stolen bases, and alot of rbis. he leads the mlb with ribs right now. so i will take your bet. best not forget. top 5 hahaha, you got to be kidding me.

Have you heard about all this crap about Smoltz goin back to the bullpen to close because of Kolb's struggles? What a complete crapload. We need Smoltz in the starting lineup.

How bout them Braves, tied for first is great considering our offense and injuries. We have been winning with pitching and good team play. It was great to see Smoltzie finally get a win.

Chipper may be back tonight for the Mulder Hudson match up, should be a good one. I love a good pitching match up!

Kolb has been shaky but give him time. He did well with the Brewers so he is a proven closer but he does scare me! :cross:

I'm from South Florida and have watch D Lee for some time so I can agree that D Lee is a special talent. He is very hot right now and if he keeps this up he will BE the MVP.

GO BRAVES! :rocks:
