As good as the Braves' farm system is, I would send the entire bullpen to the minors for a week and call up some guys that actually WANT to play the game of baseball the way it's supposed to be played. There isn't a guy out there that can get a friggin 1,2,3 inning! It got so bad last night that for the first time that I can ever remember, and atleast the first time in the last three years, Bobby was so pissed, he sent McDowell to the mound twice in the same inning, forcing HIM to make the pitching change instead of Bobby. I swear, they show him in the dugout and I think he is gonna have a stroke sometimes.

Didn't sosa blow a save twice in one game the other day? what kind of crap was that? I'm with you orange we need to get somebody else in the bullpen...the only problem is that it's not going to come from the farm system and relief pitching costs a ton this time of year....and were not buying apparently.

The deadline is the 31st so there is still plenty of time to make a move, however, just about every team is looking for bullpen help and im also not sure about what we have to offer. Ive heard Smoltze, Giles and Hudson could be considered as "trade bait" but i cant really see us with out any of them. Especially not Smoltze or Giles.

Hudson is too expensive and I can't imagine Smoltz getting traded. IMO the likely candidates would be Betemit, Giles, Laroche, Thorman.

i've heard a lot of people talking betemit

if the red sox could just borrow jeff franceour and and smoltz for the playoff run that would be nice... :D

Reds won so we won't be able to make up any ground on the wild card lead.

They are coming in bunches now. HR Chipper Jones.... 7-1.

Chipper just tied the record for consecutive games with an extra base hit. 14 I think it is.
