It's a dream cubs fans have waited for a long time others longer than me

So cavs come back from 3-1 to defeat the warriors but the Indians can't finish 3-1 because they lose to the Valiant cubs.

I have to admit. I cried last night. All my family is from near Wrigleyville. We are all die hard Cubs fans. I spent my childhood going to so many games with so many family members and I think about all the family that is no longer with us. They would all be so excited over this win. It was definitely bittersweet. I spent so many years hoping but not expecting the Cubbies to win it all. I accepted the fact that we were cursed. Heck, my first ball cap was a Cubbies cap. When my sons started wearing ball caps one of the first two caps I bought was a Cubbies cap. The other, of course, a Volunteers cap.

As a die hard cubs fan since 1998 I'm so damn joyful and utterly happy that it took this long for the Cubs to win it all. So many damn times I, you, and multiple others could have given up and stop being Cubs fans to become fans of some other team that doesn't have a awful drought.

Cubs fans die hard loyalty was rewarded in the best way on Wednesday November 2, 2016 defeating the Indians in a epic 8-7 win of game 7 10 innings.
They were picked as the favorites before the 2016 season to win the World Series which they did.

So White Sox ended their championship drought last decade, and this decade The Cubs end their championship drought.

When you see Murphy’s Law repeatedly happen with the Cubs choking and underachieving easy and understandable to become cynical that they won't win a 3rd World Series.

I probably would have gotten more emotional, but I got really, really ticked when they blew the lead. I was happy when they won but it was such a roller coaster of emotions.

The Cubs carried all 3 catchers on the roster all post season and all 3 played in game 7 of the world series and all 3 had and rbi in the game.

I wonder if they sign someone as a free agent since Schwarber can no longer be a catcher

Decent decade for Chicago pro sports teams Blackhawks have won multiple titles this decade, and Cubs.

Topnotch that in Bryant's 2nd year the Cubs win the World Series. Same initials as retired nba player Kobe Bryant, and I wont be surprised if he has a amazing career plus multiple championships.

The Chicago Cap Murders book by Warren Friedman
It's a Detective mystery book that involves a plot related to the Cubs. It sounds great and interesting, and it's on my Christmas list.

Pretty amazing that the last 2 times the Cubs have won the World Series have been even years.

This thread needs to be changed to "World Series Champion Chicago Cubby Bears Thread".

Also thanks for your time here Jorge Soler.

So, Fowler, Hammel and Soler are gone? Who have the Cubs picked up to replace them or are they bringing guys up? The farm system is loaded, imo. But, I haven't really followed any of the off season moves, so hopefully, somebody on here, can fill me in. Of course, I will probably go google it, now

I liked Travis Wood. He could start and relieve. Big loss. I also think Fowler will be missed and Soler is going to be an all-star, somewhere. I hope Almora,Jr. can give us similar numbers as Fowler did. The biggest difference from last years team, imo, is just having Schwarber for the whole year. I still think we need another starter, Montgomery and Lackey are getting old. Wilson Contreras for a whole year, we also be very helpful. We have seen a lot of future MLB stars at Smokies stadium, in the last 5 years or so

I believe they are speaking with Travis Wood about a return.

Signed Brett Anderson. Traded for Wade Davis. Brought in John Jay.
