The Official Detroit Lions Den Thread

High pressure on the 2024 Lions to show last season of reaching the NFC Championship Game wasn’t lightning in a bottle after a very memorable successful season to be proud of.

The Lions do have a realistic chance of reaching the Super Bowl if they’ve learned how to close during the adversity of Playoff games because it wasn’t a flaw in regular season games since they found ways to win competitive games.

Lions cutting Peoples-Jones. Man I have no idea what happened after 2022 but talk about a downfall.

I'm disappointed the Lions didn't give JuJu a chance. He's only 27, he was excellent in 2022 for the Chiefs. He's not a star but that felt like a perfect fit. They keep talking about having a big-bodied, physical WR and had a role/cap space.

They play twice. Last season a far less talented Bears squad beat them and had to implode to lose the other. All things straight up, the Lions sweep them and avenge last season…but this is the NFL and that’s a division foe.

Martin on the IR to start the season. Reader might not be ready the first two weeks. Really, really need Levi to be a dude.

WR/TE- DPJ was cut, so was Mitchell and Zylstra. No way Lions go in with 4 WR/3 TE. Will definitely see a move there
OL- Skipper made the team, I'm suprised Niese made it and not Egaukon considering Niese is strictly a guard and Glasgow doesn't like playing C. Overall 10 OL is a lot too.
DL- Martin is on IR (misses first 4 games). Cominsky made the team but will also be IR. Peko did not make it but rumors he will be brought back tomorrow once rosters finalize and Cominsky moves to IR.
S- Surprised Moore didn't make it since he's a special teams ace but they actually kept Joseph and Strickland.

Lions have 52 players. Cominksy will be put on IR and then Peko will take his spot. Lions saving that the #53 for WR. Would imagine they try and bring Mitchell/Zylstra to PS and use them as one of the PS designations to start the year (you get two players to promote from PS to roster for 48 total players). So my guess at the first game 48 man roster in the next post...
