I wasn’t offended. I don’t get offended. Just trying to figure out why you’re so interested in this thread when you have nothing to offer one way or the other. Obviously it’s an awesome free board, do you care to type anything about Duke or UNC other than “They both suck”? I guess you’re just trying to derail the thread.

You’re obviously allowed to say whatever you’re feeling. I certainly can understand why people would dislike both schools, especially Duke. Duke is an easy target.

NC made themselves an easy target with the fake class stuff. Its all good, i just like to poke fun at folks that hop on bandwagon teams, not saying you just in general. I live in Alabama and talk to people all the time that go for Alabama in football, Duke/UNC /Kentucky in bball etc. It just makes me laugh. Kinda like Golden State right now. 10 year ago they had about 4 fans.

But i get having ties to two teams. I do as well. Outside of Tennessee, i go for Navy as well.

You picked the wrong thread if looking for bandwagoners. Plenty of Duke and UNC fans fall in that category, but I don’t think any of the posters here do.

Even as a Tennessee grad and fan there is nothing like being in Durham/Chapel Hill on HWY 15-501 when it’s time for the game. It’s just a different feel. 8 miles apart when you live and work with those people on a day to day basis gets your ire up. Both teams have been great for so long it’s unreal.

Yeah i can imagine. I didnt go to Tennessee, just from the state. Ive been to countless games and try to follow all sports. Also follow the Titans, Grizzlies and Pred and have been to several games of each. I went to Armt/Navy a few weeks ago and have never seen anything like it.

Army/Navy is definitely on my sports bucket list. That game last month was a lot of fun to watch. Always cool to see it in the snow.

And the games are so damn close so often. That’s what struck me growing up. Seeing those stats where it’s a tied score over the last 30 years or something is crazy. Greatest rivalry in sports IMO

Should be on everyone's. The tenting experience for students makes it even better, crazy as it must seem from outside. But once the game starts, you can't hear yourself think.

It’s pretty awesome. It’s just one of those things that when you walk in the building there’s just a different feeling for Duke and Carolina. Nobody I know will even let me try to purchase a ticket or even give me one. I’m very lucky that I’ve been able to attend so many though.

It was a lot more fun when I was younger and K let the Crazies be more crazy. Duke has made them dial it down some.

I was a ball boy in ‘91,92’93 and in the game at Cameron in January of ‘91 George Lynch (UNC Great) absolutely trucked me trying to make a play. Real nice guy, made sure I was ok, I was only 8 years old.

Anybody seen Volprof? He’s a big time UNC fan. I’m kind of worried he’s living in the woods in Montana, possibly maybe thinking about trying to impress Jodie Foster or blow up a federal building.

Saw the last 5 minutes. UVA’s defense really is good, always is under Bennett. The second year in a row they held Carolina under 50, that’s pretty tough to do.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Duke loses at State tonight. Those clowns always get up and play well in Raleigh versus Duke. Then get beat by a hundred vs UNC. I’m sure there will be some 35th anniversary circle jerk about ‘83 title team too.

Duke would struggle to defend some high school teams. They'd win, but man, this team has no idea what they're doing on defense.

Carter is so good, but he gets completely lost on pick and rolls. It killed Duke tonight. That and Allen is either sick or hurt or both. He had no legs tonight. Every shot was short.
