Little slower that I would of liked on that last #24 stop. Hopefully that gets Jeff back where he likes it.

Kahne should have wrecked Matt. Kasey wants to talk a big talk, and he had a great shot to dump his ass, didn't take it.

Jeff finished 7th. Good for any other race, but he is trying to make the chase. Needed a win ! A lot of cars in the chase faltered and he could have leapt on it! I think they should have pitted, and gotten fresh tires.

Jimmie. He was NOWHERE. Not concerned yet, but I would like to see a good run before the chase.

Dale Jr. Doing Dale Jr things. Quietly getting points and finishing in the top 10. One more of these and I think he is in solidly.

I love how all of the NASCAR shows are trashing Kasey for not dumping Matt. I agree with them. Kasey needs to get tough and not be a Mark Martin.

He should have been a champion in 1990 but NASCAR penalized him in order to give the championship to Dale Sr.

I assume you are talking about Mark and not Kasey?

Never knew that. It was before my time of watching the sport though.

He won Richmond that year, during post-race inspection they found an illegal carburetor spacer and penalized him 46 points. He would go on to lose the championship that year to Dale by 20 points...

This was before my time of watching NASCAR, but I read about it in a book one day, and as a Martin fan, it really made me mad. He gained no advantage with the spacer, and yet it cost him the title.

I will always be a fan of Martin, but I agree. Mark would have several more wins and possibly a Daytona 500 win if he was a more aggressive driver.

I think the biggest Mark fail was when he pulled off at Bristol a lap early.

I like Mark a lot too. Think he is a hell of a driver, but it makes me sad to see that this sort of crap happens to him:

Me too, Nerd. Other than the Ford/Roush connection, that is part of the reason I became a fan of Carl Edwards after Mark's career started winding down. He seemed to have a lot of the qualities that I liked about Mark Martin, but he also had an aggressive side that Mark doesn't, and he wasn't afraid to rub fenders for a win.

Cars need to run fast. Jeff needs to win. Jimmie Johnson and his team need to stop playing grabass and get to finishing in the top 5. Blue eyes just needs to have fun. He's solidly in. Junebug needs another top ten, and he can rest easy.

Gordon posted the 3rd fastest times in both practices, but his qualifying effort of 32nd left much to be desired.

Harvick did similar in the Nationwide race last night. Qualified 18th but was fast to start the race and drove to the front In a little over a qtr of the race.

Rubbin's Racin'. You can't let them get close enough to rub you. Definitely not a Logano fan here but he did nothing wrong with that move. Dale Sr. made a career out of the same move (and had it used on him a few times - Jeremy Mayfield at Pocono comes to mind). Dale was pretty bad to wreck folks instead of just rubbing them, though.

Mark does need to be more aggressive at times. I doubt he would have moved Logano to win if the situation were reversed.

This is fun watching the 24 zip past everyone in turns 1 and 2 and blow past them on the back straightaway.

Good race for Jeff. Need to carry the fight to Richmond. Solid work from the 88 as well. Hate to see the 5 and the 88 get caught up in a wreck started by their teammate.

48 and the 14 got damage in that same incident. Jeff tried to take out 4 Hendrix cars to better his chances.:whistling:
