The Official Hendrick Motorsports Thread

NASCAR really effed up Jimmie Johnson. That NASCAR official needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and think about what he might have denied the sport, and the FANS, which is a really good shot at a 48 win. I know he has to feel terrible.

Yes, they did. NASCAR made a similar call at Rockingham with Dale Sr. and Childress threw a fit and NASCAR brought out the caution and put him back in place.

Really bad call on NASCAR's part and it did cost the 48 the lead.

Edit : storyline on nascar.com is "Pit stop issue costs Johnson the lead". Accurate reporting for sure.

#JeffGordon - "Yea, we need 4 tires. That thing drove terrible. Alright boys, time to fight." Alan: "We'll be fine here." #Team24

He looks rejuvenated after getting a second chance. I want to see him win one more Championship before he's all said and done.

He's starting to pick up momentum at a good time. It'd be awesome if he can pull off a Tony Stewart.

I'll take a 6th to start. Going to try and make the race in Kansas. He's done well there so hopefully we'll see him win

Sitrep:

48: Shows why he is a real MAN. NASCAR tried to **** Jimmie out of a win and they should be fired up. Shame on NASCAR for denying the 10,000 fans who stuck around the JJ victory they wanted to see!

24: It's like they swapped out Jeff's Chevy SS for a Delorean! It's like we're back in 1997. He was fast all race, caught a huge break and made the most of it. At times he had the fastest car of the race. If he can keep this up, we might be seeing a lot more of that gorgeous #24 car.

5: Typical KK race. Just hanging in there. Really amazed that the last pit stop did not help him! Good recovery though. He had that damage on pit lane, which may have been caused by the #7!

88: DAMN SHAME. Folks want to see the 88 run well, and he was a top 10 car. I am deeply concerned about that motor explosion. Hopefully HMS will dedicate a lot of their resources to figure out just what happened.

Those were dark days for NASCAR. Hopefully Hendrick will come back strong and give the fans what they want which is a flag to flag victory for the team!
