I think I would def wait till after Talladega. What does he have to gain by coming back early? The risks, by far out weigh the reward.

He doesn't want to fall too far down in the driver standings. Right now he's sitting 25th. If he can somehow climb back in the top 20 he still can make the chase as a wildcard.

Yeah. I was about to say, it would make sense if all of the con-rods were light, but just one seems like an imbalance.

50 points for a connecting rod being three grams difference. That's huge. Baiscally Kenseth didn't win the race because of that penalty.

Oh and 200k fine for the crew chief? I think if I were Gibbs I would be passing that fine along to TRD since they build the engines for JGR.

I like Chevy because they make the Camaro and Corvette and those are the best cars to drive if you like cars, but I drive a car with a lot of Ford parts.
