I’m not a coach so will defer to our coaches. As a fan, I thought they’d go to the pen earlier a batter or two earlier.

I’m not a coach either. The bigger stat is that this time of year…he threw over 100 pitches. When double elimination starts, you better know who you got. I haven’t looked it up, but it seems like his longest outing, and he’s still in the mid 90’s, yer gonna give him the opportunity to finish. JMO.
