I missed baserunning blunder. Was that Burke going home and barely getting safe

Yes, I’m referring to Burke being thrown out @ the plate by the pitcher. I posted that it was a “blunder” but then 2nd guessed myself after thinking about it. The commentator said Burke should have stayed @ 3rd but it was a bang-bang play, so Burke may have thought it he ball got away from the pitcher.

Regardless, we scored that inning and I hope the young man’s shoulder is okay.

That’s an absolutely fair take. I can only imagine what Ole Miss fans are thinking this year, but they got one. As a Tennessee fan that remembers several years of having to win the final series of the year to be the final team into Hoover. I’m content. Totally different discussion now, hosting, regionals, etc…
