It's all a wash right now. Everybody has beaten everybody when it comes to SEC play, so the RPI will be pretty consistent. For instance, TN has beaten #1 RPI KY twice and their rpi has only dropped 1 spot. TN's only jumped 1 spot after winning today.

I was looking at warren nolan. Looks like the results of some of today's games have moved TN up two more spots to 16th. We were 18th after the win earlier.

According to that we’ve moved up 10 spots, I know before the weekend we were around mid 20’s or so.

I didn’t see the play so not necessarily commenting on that. But I don’t think you have to slide on a double play. You don’t have to slide anywhere else. Once out, he just can’t interfere with the throw.

Should Arkansas come back tonight to beat South Carolina, and then complete the sweep tomorrow. Amazingly, Tennessee would move to 3rd place in East ahead of SC by 1/2 game.

Not really far fetched scenario. Tennessee would be 15-12; South Carolina 14-12 (Last game against LSU was not played)

But the Hogs are not hitting at all tonight.

Third in the East would be 5th overall. Only the top 4 teams would get 1st round bye in SEC tournament. There is no path to 4 seed as Florida holds tiebreaker

Vols win out, and Vandy loses last four (Florida and Arky), I'm pretty sure would put us 2nd in East and lock in a top 4 seed. Not very likely, but possible.

Love the optimism! Considering our road woes, looks more likely that we will have a Tuesday single elimination game perhaps against Missouri.

Yes, they’ve banned collisions, but that doesn’t mean you HAVE to slide as long as you don’t make contact. You can peel off at second base. No one hardly does it, but it just got me thinking about it. As long as you don’t interfere, I don’t believe there is a rule that you have to slide.
