What is wrong? This is Tennessee man. We aren't hiring a guy with that W/L ratio and 2 Bowl Wins. We've already experimented with second-tier coaches. That didn't work out too well did it..He's been at UNC 1 year and their a Basketball school. Not exactly the big time.

I saw Fedora and his staff run a UNC practice session on ESPN and this cat is a high energy, get your @$$ in gear kind of coach. I was highly impressed and would take him in a second!

Fedora did a fantastic job at USM, and he's done very well with what he's got at UNC.

He wouldn't be on top of the list, but taking a look at him is a good idea.

Not sure why people are giving the OP such a hard time. He's just sharing some things that most of us wouldn't know about him.

yes, he is known for his recruiting as well. landed a 5 star at USM, can't remember the name. But, during his tenure at USM, they always recruited well. Of course, you can't compare it to SEC recruiting but among non AQ, USM was doing very well

Deandre brown who was a bust. Only was at usm because he didn't have grades for lsu. He did an excellent job at usm, alot better than fukin Ellis Johnson who has ruined us. I'd accept the hire only if he brings disch and Blake Anderson. He has alot of passion and fire which UT needs. His strongest point though is recruiting IMO. He done a great job at usm bringing in the talent.
Also I'm a huge fan of the 4-2-5

I will say that Dan disch is the best at the 4-2-5. He brought back the nasty bunch at usm. Hated that whole staff left and usm fd up by hiring Ellis and not Blake Anderson.

Anybody but that old guy!! Ellis Johnson was the worst hire ever. Also have a high school coach at OC. Only reason got Alford(who is overrated).

Currently 7-4

Only One Top 20 Team...Louisville and they lost 34-39

Of six games; the defense has allowed 28 on more points including 68 by GT.

Points scored by offense - 442
Points allowed by defense - 270


That's a very, very weak schedule with just one Top 20 Team (Lousiville). Plus thanks to violations they're going to get hit a bit with losing (5) scholarships per season for three seasons.

He's tied to aTm and we gave him a look last year. He has a brother coaching HS down the road. Not a bad option if you could get him. Pretty certain he was on my list of suggestions last month. Not sure he's ready for this big of a task though.

I have coached in the Harnett County School System on both the middle and high school level for 25 years!What's the problem here? I'm just saying that in my honest opinion, I like the way Fedora does business as a coach. Have you ever stood in a huddle on the field and watch coaches operate?

As long as we do not bring back Cutcliff or Fulmer. I just do not undestand why anyone would want them back. They keep saying Cut has done good at Duke. They get blown out. In the ACC.

He also coached them to their first bowl game this year since Steve Spurrior was coach... man that guy sucked too. Seriously... it's Duke, getting to a bowl game is impressive enough, does that mean I want Cut? No. He's fine where he is and if he didn't take the job 3 years ago (and vol fans would have given him a longer leash than Dooley) he's not taking it now.

This hire needs to be an out of the park home run, unite the fanbase, make 5* prospects decommit from other schools to come here, attract top level assistants, and win games kind of hire. Agree with this....100% true. IF for some reason Fedora became the next head of UT football, it would be a disappointment. A disappointment because we need the kind of hire you described above.

Fedora would still be an upgrade from where we are today. I think you will see Fedora leading a major D1 school within the next five years.
