Nice try, but Fedoras record speaks for itself. He's never dominated a conference even in his best season. So far he's taken 2 mediocre programs and kept them mediocre. Also his history as an OC means nothing, theres been hundreds of coordinators that have been given credit for being great at a program and then went on to be mediocre or worse HCs.
Finally the last thing UT needs is an offensive minded coach. If you look at our roster Dolley was good at getting O talent but he swung and missed on almost all of our D. We need a great DC and HC that can come i and not only teach but recruit D talent.
If you look at UNCs schedule from this year you will see Fedoras "system" that you speak of was to score as much as possible and hope ur D can get a few stops. Well we all saw how well that "system" worked in the SEC. We had an awesome offense that could light up the score board even against SEC D's, but we also had a D that allowed the other teams to almost score at will.
To me Fedora is a Dooley 2.0. He's faced Strongs SEC style D and he's failed to beat it either time. This isn't Florida, Fedora isn't gonna have the talent he did there to make up for his lack of a D that he will have here for at least the first few years.
