First off, Duke is a bowl team. Also, the most wins Butch Davis had at UNC was 8 wins and he had much more talent than Fedora.
Fedora can coach. He is one of the best offensive minds in the country. Pair him with a good DC, and he will win championships.
But...but...but...he's not a defensive minded coach so he should automatically be eliminated as a candidate. It's impossible to hire a good defensive coordinator. Charlie Strong is the only option.
Dont see the love for strong over fedora. Fedora has a better win pct, better bowl record, more experiance at bigger programs. Strong went 7-6 past two years then has a blowout year(like fedora did last year) and everyone still prefers strong. Dont give me the defense bull shat because like i posted earlier, UL give up 24 ppg this year, unc give up 25 ppg. And i can promise unc scored a helluva lot more points

Strong is 2-0 against Fedora
(I know this might not mean that much, but just throwing it out there)
I think it's a lot easier to get talent to UNC than to Louisville, and that UNC was more talented, even in Fedora's first year.
Fedora has shown a nice upward trajectory, but losses to Marshall and UAB in his championship season are at least as bad as Strong losing to Cuse and UConn.
Dont help when the qb throws a combined 9 ints in those two games vs marshall and uab. But that loss still goes on fedoras resume. So your right. But he did still get a great oppertunity to be coaching atunc.
Fedora was at a UNC Bball game last night, so unless he had a LATE night flight or early AM today, the rumors about him interviewing at UT today were unfounded.
We're keeping the Fedora !!!
BTW, whaddya' think about NC State hiring orthern Illinois' Dave Doeren as their new HC?
Seems like they were shooting kinda low. OK, he's won the MAC, but BFD.
Fedora was 8-4 in his FIRST season, coming off of a year where UNC had lost their HC (Butch Davis) a week before practice began.
AND, three of Fedora's losses were by less than 10 points COMBINED !!!
You WANT Fedora, but you're not getting him . . . at least this year, anyway.
WE LOVE FEDORA IN CHAPEL HILL !!!
The more I hear & read on Fedora the more I like the guy! I didn't know he was an OC at MTSU, Florida & Okie St!
I looked him up on youtube and there are several great videos that shows his passion for the game and how much his players seem to like playing for the guy!!
I think he could win here and given the chance could do very well.
Larry Fedora is going to be an elite coach soon.
He wins. Period.
