People in NC are very worried about him leaving. I work with a UNC grad and he told me damn we finally got a good one and you are trying to take him.

Let me say that I wanted Gruden, but if I have my choice of the three names being out there I want Fedora. I think he is the best LONG TERM solution.

He want leave unless ut offers. Funny wisconsin thinks they are gonna hire him

I am a football coach in the NC Public School System. I attended North Carolina's Spring Football Clinic with Larry Fedora. I have attended many clinics, including Tennessee in 2001 with Fulmer. Fulmer's clinic and practices were much more "laid back" than Fedora's. I was very impressed with Fedora and his staff! Their offense is no huddle, dynamic, and vertical in the passing game. The defense in a 4-2-5 and very attack oriented. He and his staff are on fire! This guy is good! I'm not saying he is my first choice, but I am saying this guy is on the radar, and I will go on record and say he would do very well at Tennessee.

wait...this info isn't coming from your "cousin" that knows a guy? or a conversation you had with someone "close to the team" while standing in line at piggly wiggly?

btw, i like fedora too. i think he would do well here.

this is crazy, we have gone from Gruden or BUST--- the program can't afford another "up n comer" Dooley 2.0, and now that is exactly what people are settling for? I wish him luck getting any recruits/street cred to take a chance on him/UT when there is LSU, BAMA, FL, SC, etc... out there. I am sure he is a great guy, but we need a big name that is not another work in progress.... Hart is gonna screw this up and the fans are going to STRING him up.

He is probably a good coach don't see a lot from him when it comes to recruiting. Just don't think he is what UT needs right now. He has only been at.UNC a year.now so I think we should pass on him. I like strong a lot.

No he didn't. He may have recruited some of the same guys, but he didn't pull in guys with offers from the top of those teams you listed.

Strong is in his third year at Louisville and their defense is awful.

These clowns laughed when i brought up Fedora and Sumlin last year. Some including myself know good coaches when we see it. I laugh at these threads. I guess he is a good hire now. :birgits_giggle:
