No, I get what you're saying, but he didn't have to say anything. If he's leaving, smart move is to say nothing.

Flat out lying to a recruit would be great ammunition for other coaches to use against him on the recruiting trail.

He's not that stupid.

No upside in lying. Much better play to remain quiet.

Clearly, UT is a more attractive destination (in the big picture) than UNC, but I'm hoping that Fedora realizing "one and done" works for freshman basketball players, but not so much for head football coaches.

I don't have any worries about Tennessee getting a top-notch coach. It's not nearly as easy for UNC. We got Butch Davis and Larry Fedora, but prior to Davis, the last top dog we had was Mack Brown.

If Fedora is successful at UNC, we'll be lucky to keep him for three seasons.

To some of the idiots, Petrino is their favorite. I will never understand why.

I'm just going to apologize in advance if we hire Fedora to UNC fans. We know how it feels...but if it feels any better, at least we won't be hiring him less than a month before signing day and after bowl season. It could be way worse.

Well Hart better throw everything he can at Peterson or Patterson and refuse to stop until they say yes, otherwise he can go home tonight and pack his stuff and GTFO of town immediately

Keep hearing down to Fedora. I seriously think he would be a much better long term hire than Gundy or Strong. A real solid coach.

@rivalsmike: Fedora's dream job is #Texas so he could be trying to build his brand and hope Mack steps down next year. But #Vols might up the ante now
