The "official" Lost thread

No. Hurely, Ben, Desmond, Kate, Sawyer, Claire, Miles, and Frank were all alive.

That's what I thought. The time line of him leaving the cave and dieing in the bamboo threw me off a little because the others were still supposed to be alive.

I really loved the interaction between Hurley and Ben at the end. Lets us know that life went on. Wished Ben had joined the rest of the crew leaving though.

Yea but he probably had some more "soul cleansing" to do considering all the bad things he did during his life. After all thats what purgatory is for.

I'm sad....losing/lost so many of my favorite shows Lost, Nip Tuck, 24, Heroes and Rescue Me.

Please Showtime....DON'T DROP DEXTER!

Am I the only one who thought the ending sucked out loud? I don't care how you slice it, that was a purgatory story. Sideways, backwards, whatever, purgatory was involved and that renders everything else meaningless. The light source, the island, whatever - all basically a figment of someone's imagination. I'm guessing the writers got so far afield during the first 5 seasons they could never dig themselves out. Just what I was most afraid of. So they copped out. I want the last six years of my life back.

I loved their on island interaction at the end when Hurley said he didn't really know what to do as the new protector. Then Ben said, "Do what you do best, take care of people."

Your way off......

Everything on the island happened bro.

Well then that just means they didn't explain anything at all. What was the island? What was the light source? Did these peole have this experience just because they landed on a magical island or do all people have a similar experience when they die? The whole thing makes no sense at all. Perfect for the writers because nobody can ever figure it out and the arguments will continue for years. What a screwjob.

The show was never about the island IMO, it was about the characters.
