But people are looking into it too much.....I think it was exactly what it was.....final shots of the beach, kind of like a screensaver and a "final" look at the beach. Nothing more, nothing less.

I didn't figure out they were dead until Christian Shepherd was standing there talking. When that happened I told my wife "Jack's dead....they're all dead."

I thought though that they might have to die in order to leave the island but I had a little hunch that everything we were seeing in the sideways was the "afterlife"....my dad of course thought they were all aliens. :)

There was a "repeating" theory going around...that Jack was reliving the events over and over. They got it from a few things in the pilot, like running around the beach he seemed to know exactly where to go and when certain things were about to happen.

LOL at the dude crying at the ending....that's so gay....I mean anyone that cried during Jack dying is gay, and all the flashbacks....excuse me I need a tissue.

a few questions:

-how did jack end up outside of the cave after he moved the rock back into place?

-was the light in the middle of the island ever really explained?

-what actually triggered the creation of the smoke monster? when the MIB went into the cave with the light he was transformed into it, but nothing at all happened like that when Desmond or Jack went down there.

-how did Richard suddenly lose the ability of eternal life? i'm guessing because it was because jacob wasn't around anymore?

My guess is the water rushed him out, sorta like MIB

Desmond was immune to the radiation or w/e, Jack was a protector of the island

-Same as MIB he was moved to the same place when he went down there.

-Source of all life

-Could be that MIB had evil intentions and therefore was transformed into something evil. (That might be answered on the DVD)

-My theory is when the stone was removed and the light extinguished that all "magic" on the island was gone or it could be what you said?!
