The Official LSU @ Tennessee Series Thread (Fri. April 12 7:30PM EST ESPNU) (Sat. April 13 5:30PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Sun. April 14 3PM EST SEC NETWORK)

a poor first AB but a solid 2nd AB and was PH for his would be 3rd AB.
One that kills me is Einsley. Talk about poor ABs. 0-2 every ab watching fastballs and like I say he swings at stuff you could not hit with fat albert bats. Way too many takes of hittable pitches

Wild end to the Ole Miss - Miss St game, obnoxious bat flip on a go ahead HR in the 12th, Bianco ejected and caught on hit mic, comeback win bottom 12
It was the same bat flip Gilbert did vs Wright St.
Can't find video of the hot mic incident anywhere. How bad was it? 😂

I had a question about Holman and was hoping some of you could comment on: his numbers have been crazy good this year (14.5 SO’s/9, 2.5 W/9, and less than 6 hits/9). What has made him so hard to hit against this year? His FB was 91-92 last night, and his off speed stuff was good, but didn’t seem exceptional.

In 5.2 innings last night he only struck out 4 Vols. We seemed off-balance and had a hard time consistently barreling anything, although there were 5-6 balls in those 6 innings we hit hard. All I kept saying as I was watching was, “I’m glad he’s not Skenes.”

Looks like a great day to cleanup let's sweep these bums right out of town !!! GBO 🍊 💥
Wouldn't call them "bums", but we really could use a win today. The schedule takes a much tougher turn after this weekend. UK appears to be real...very real.

You’re not wrong but the dude can pitch.
He definitely can and would’ve loved to have had him. This team would be damn near unstoppable with him and Beam back to back. And I just meant last night on him being “electric”. Most nights I think he is, but we had solid contact all night and eventually you felt something was going to fall or find a hole.

Plays incredible defense and comes up with clutch hits consistently. See Clemson and Southern Miss and Omaha.

It'll never happen, but the 51 year old in me wishes we'd just go back to how it used to be.

In the Miss St. dugout, post HR bat flip - Sunday leadoff batter: "You crushed it, bro! Nice batflip. No worries man, I'll wear the bruise for ya. Let's finish this."

In the Ole Miss dugout post top of the 12th - Sunday starting P: "Shake it off, man. We all toss a meatball sometimes. I got you, I'll take care of it."

Sunday, pitch one, fastball to the head, benches clear and teach the Sunday P a lesson. Let's not go there.
Sunday, pitch one, curveball to the hip. Batter smiles at the P and takes his base. We play a game like grown men.

I hope Jay Johnson does direct deposits to Paul Manieri’s account every 2 weeks for leaving him a championship roster of juniors last year.

Yes he put them over the top but they don’t come close to winning without the core Maineri left in Thompson, Crews, Morgan, Jobert, Dugas and Milazzo. It was apparent after the 2021 Super Regional that FR class was going to do big things over the career.
Agreed. That squad was loaded.
Tennessee has turned this thing into much more of a rivalry than LSU would care to admit.
