The Official Michael Cohen Testimony Thread

That guy is just trolling. People who believe in the Clinton secret murder schemes are hopelessly lost in a sea of mental illness. Best to let them drown rather than infect others. #Darwinwasright.

Imagine for a moment that Michael Cohen had been found dead this morning from a “self inflicted” gunshot wound to the back of the head. Lol. Between you, Luther, Mick, and Velo the site would crash.

You are right, that's a much better way of wording it. Did he pay for a hooker, probably. Do I care or is that impeachable? No to both. Did he likely operate in the gray area in some business dealing, probably. Do I care or is that impeachable? No to both

You have to remember that foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation aren't foreign donors to her campaign (and I have a bridge to sell); however, a hush payment to a hooker from an extremely rich guy just has to have come from his campaign funds. Of course, you have to also keep in mind that congress set up a little tax funded slush fund to pay off their indiscretions. The double standards in DC are simply incredible.

what a dumb dog and pony show that was a ginormous waste of time.

Don’t worry, they will waste more time and money. Hopefully this occupies those idiots until their term is up so they don’t try passing any more horrible legislation

Ummm....Trump paid his lawyer? I’m starting to wonder if y’all are familiar with chess.
It’s ****ing fake.

The check number is 2821. Awfully low number.

Besides, The check would come from one of Trumps many business adventures for services rendered. You know, a tax write off.

Do you guys like your crow grilled or sauteed?

You know the thing about Plan A and Plan B? Trump is in business and everybody said Hiliary was going to win (meaning Plan A was risky), so if Trump as a businessman continued with Plan B as a contingency, it makes perfect sense. On the other hand a career politician just switches allegiances to being a corporate board member (for all the paybacks he made), becomes a consultant/lobbyist in waiting while being paid for connections and insider info, writes a book that nobody reads but still makes millions, goes on the speaking circuit making tons per speech, or becomes a media hack/comedian. Trump's Plan B was a lot more honest. If you're going to go after a president for mixing business on the way to the presidency, then don't excuse congress for mixing business and making millions on insider information while in congress.

Is Congress the finder of crimes?

Is Congress the forum to indict or charge for crimes?

Interesting that the key witness in all these potential crimes is about to go to prison and hence not available to be a witness in any trial of said potential crimes.

I have no doubt that Dems will run hearings about every one of these things for the next 2 years but none of these are punishable by Congress nor will lead to impeachment and conviction (removal from office). They will be entirely motivated by political objectives and that should be of concern to every citizen but it's all about winning so principles be damned.

Well it does keep them off the streets and from pandering in restrooms. Who knows it might unhinge Tlaib enough that she comes in wearing a flak jacket ... the kind that goes boom. And AOC will be too busy to be a green socialist.

On the serious side the sniping undermines Trump in dealing with real issues ... like negotiations with foreign countries when he's pushing better deals for us than anybody else has done in years. Nixon could have had a far better peace treaty with Vietnam if the Dems in congress hadn't undermined him at every step. Why should a foreign power bend to our will when they think a sitting president is a lame duck (who might not even finish his term), and they can get a better deal with a wimpy Dem replacement?

Well, I was wrong. I predicted the over/under for the number of crimes that Cohen would implicate Trump in at 7. This guy counted 14.
