The Official Michael Cohen Testimony Thread

Did you read my post or just modify to suit your purposes? I didn't say say what you said I said.

I heard conservatives want stop supporting Trump , why can’t we just get him out , I hate him , I just wish he’d stop committing crimes , if only people would stop supporting him , I know we can’t prove he did anything criminal but I still want him gone anyway ... pretty close ?

No, I said that he may not have committed a crime worthy of impeachment. I did not say he did not commit crimes. Read my words, not what you want me to say.

Obviously every day he remains in office increases the likelihood of him completing his first term. I'm still clinging to the hope that he will resign. Until such time, the investigations will continue.

Maybe Northam can show Trump some class by resigning. Oops. Why would Trump resign?

Not really. I have seen people in this thread claim that Trump's crimes are not enough to warrant impeachment while defending him. While it may be true, is it really to much to ask that our president not commit crimes?

I really wish we had good, honest, trustworthy people in the places of power. But it’s just not the case.

I'm worried about Cohen's other clients who might get swept up in something because he was recording privileged conversations.

Has that happened? Has there even been any evidence that he kept recordings of conversations that were privileged? Any indication that those recordings have been turned over to anybody?

As far as I know, everything that he’s said was never subject to privilege in the first place.

It’s not like Cohen hung a shingle and people were walking in off the street for consults. He was the celebrity equivalent to a college football bag man.

Ok so you just want him not to commit crimes while in office . Should we prove that he is doing that first ? The whole conservatives taking up for him thing what I’ve seen and for sure what I’ve asked for is soild proof before I’m ok with removing an elected president . This he said she said stuff coming from Washington along with all the staged testimonies don’t do it for me .

Name the last one that hasn't.

Worried about your lawyer telling the world about how you directed him to help you commit fraud? You don’t seem like the type.

The provilege doesn’t extend to criminal behavior. Why should it?

Except if they can’t corroborate your lies they still give you the ice pick and if they catch you lying, you may get worse than the ice pick, especially if they spend a lot of resources trying to corroborate something and come up empty handed.

Some of you guys usually seem pretty reasonable but these posts defy common sense. It smells like desperation to spin Trump as a victim.
I doubt he's a victim. It's just Cohen has been all over the place and pretty much everyone has called him a liar. Have a had time believing anything he says.

To save himself pain and embarrassment and the complete destruction of the Trump brand. We all know he will only do what's in his self interest; otherwise I would have said for the good of the country, his family, and his friends and associates.

I totally agree with that. Cohen is a sleaze. He’s literally a professional criminal. I don’t believe anything he said yesterday about codes or whispered conversations. Show me a cypher with Trump’s signature signed in blood that’s been verified by third party DNA analysis and I’ll believe that.

Honestly, the liberals on this board shouldn’t be cheering this.

The predicate question for every democrat action between now and 2020 should be, “will this help us win Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, or Wisconsin?”

Everything they’ve done since January, including this, seems like they’re only acting on things where the answer to that question is “nope!”

Reading comprehension apparently fails you. I said I wasn't tallying collusion as Cohen has no direct evidence of it.

Hiring a straw bidder to buy a portrait is legal, paying back that person with charity finances is a crime.
Trump reimbursing Cohen for payoffs through checks using undisclosed funds to protect The Trump campaign is a crime.
Trump had prior knowledge of Roger Stone and Wikileaks, crime.
Trump was fully aware of Trump Tower meeting with Russians, crime.
Trump receiving a multimillion-dollar refund from the IRS after slashing wages for his employees, crime.

You taking lessons in lunacy from Luther?

I am not yet in favor of impeachment. Close. But not yet. I want to see Mueller report and whether Trump gave deceptive answers to questions about Russian influence or contacts.

Good piece for the "but how can we believe a liar" crowd. Author is a former US Attorney.
