The Official Michael Cohen Testimony Thread

That is one part of his testimony I tend to believe.
Same here. An election campaign gets the world's attention for months. And everyone can agree he loves the attention.

People call him racist, sexist, ect ect ect. I don't know if he's any of those things, but the one thing I do believe is he's an opportunist. If he sees something ,be it a person or cause, he can use to his advantage he will probably do so if it's worthwhile to him. He may not believe in it or agree with those who do, but he'll be just lukewarm enough to get what he wants and be able to walk away mostly clean.

Running a presidential campaign might be the greatest opportunity for publicity that could exist. Can't think of much off the top of my head that would rival it.

I’m also deeply skeptical that Trump didn’t want to be president and was doing it for publicity.
There is a great section in Fire and Fury about this.
Trump was working on plans to start his own network with Roger Ailes and Steve Bannon after he lost the election. He had the built in story (Hillary's horrible, rigged election) for a rabid base.
The story also goes that Ivanka was so distraught when she realized he was actually going to win that she ran from the room in tears.

I enjoy reading fiction as well.

Alex Jones did a four hour and forty minute podcast with Joe Rogan last night.

I don’t have time for y’all.

I always thought he was using the primary campaign for a movie, book or TV show deal. When he locked up the nomination it probably shocked the shizz out of him.

Michael Wolff's 'Fire and Fury': Some of the facts just don't stack up

Umm why wouldn’t you just by Game of Thrones atleast you’d have no delusions of truth then .

To be fair, I am skeptical about the reliability of that book.

I do trust Bob Woodward, though.

You have been babbling about impeachment even before he was elected lol.

I want him out, obviously.

And I do believe it highly likely that he has committed impeachable offenses.

But actually taking that step is a risky move for the Dems and it should not occur on supposition and speculation.

2020 should be the easiest election in history for the democrats. They’ll have nobody to blame but themselves if they fail.

These guys never learn from the past when it comes to investigating a President. Even the party that "wins" ends up losing.

That's because so often the individual members are thinking of their own glory in being the big winner, the one to actually "get" the other guy. One thing I imagine we would all agree on about yesterday is that the preening and sanctimony by members on both sides is just beyond annoying. Seems like there are no great statesmen left up there -- someone who rarely speaks but when they do its profound or insightful.

It'll be more difficult than 2016, unless there's a recession between now and election day. If things are at least OK with the economy, incumbents get re-elected.

I really wish we had good, honest, trustworthy people in the places of power. But it’s just not the case.
Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, and Jimmy Carter were the closest in the last 100 years or so, and I doubt they were squeaky clean. Holding that office makes you make some decisions that are a bit shady. It helps to not be a choir boy going in.

Every bad thing that happens is Trump's fault. Duh...……......
I just thought the comment was weird. All the folks that suicided themselves before testifying against the clintons and it wasn’t bad for them.

Then, what if Cohen represented some in the Gambino family, and then he stated yesterday that he recorded all of his conversations and had no issue turning over all said recordings.

I could see how the Gambino family would want him whacked.
