Down in my part of the South they have the Mississippi Braves and I believe it is the Baton Rouge Zephers (sp?). Haven't seen the Biloxi Shuckers play yet.

The Savannah Sand Gnats are doing a Military Appreciation Night jersey on August 13th. I submitted my name to be included. I just found out to day I made it!

No. 14 Astros prospect Tony Kemp of the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies tied 2015's longest Minor League hitting streak of 25 games.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty cool seeing my name on a jersey like that.

For $700 (payable in 5 yearly installments of $140/year) I can get a lifetime pass to any regular season minor league game, anywhere, any league except for opening day games.

I might have to jump on this.

That is pretty cool.

I'll probably attend some Columbus Clippers game this year.

That's awesome. I think I prefer minor league games to MLB games in person.

I agree.

Given the options, I prefer drinking $2 beers for 9+ innings, rather than drinking $8 beers for 7 innings.

I don't care for the MLB trying to stifle alcohol consumption through premium pricing, a hard cut-off, and a 2 drinks/person policy.

If I want somebody to tell me to stop drinking, I can just stay at home.

Second that.

Sure I understand that MLB is the pinnacle but there's something about being so close to the field and not having to mortgage the home for the seats. In my experience the players are a bit more approachable.

Back in the early 90s Nashville had a AA and a AAA team playing at the same time so no matter the night you could watch live bb. I was really able to see the difference between AA players and AAA seeing them night after night. Plus seeing the big leaguers just starting was amazing.
