I won't be shocked if they don't, but these new track dryers are pretty badass and appear to do a much better job than the old jet dryers. They're like giant squeegees going around the track.

They started the July race one year after 9:00 and that was a 160 lap race. They have 160 laps left to run in this one. I bet they'll try to race tonight if they know there's a window.

That's what I'm thinking. They're almost 20% of the way through, so it could still rain for another 2-3 hours and they could easily get it in tonight.

I saw on Twitter a NASCAR official said they probably wouldn't restart past 9pm. So that is the deadline if rain stops.

Ok, so assuming it takes an hour or two to dry the track, it could still rain for 3-4 hours and be able to get the race in.

Well it takes an hour and a half roughly to dry the track. If the rain can stop in the next 4 hours, we'll race. I don't think today is going to be a complete washout.
