Well I mean it's pretty obvious. The apron looks a couple of inches narrower.

It's something to do with the scoring line. Apparently the painted line is not official:
This is not the clearest picture, first one I found. Red line is the NASCAR official line.
How that explains that the electronic system called Buescher the winner initially, that's beyond me

According to Hamlin’s podcast the transponders are at the rear of the car. So the 17’s transponder crossed the finish line before the 5’s. But they review the picture and the 5’s nose is there first, making him the winner. Insane finish and a great race throughout the night.
