Even as disappointed as the fans might be, a win against Vandy will put UT in a really good bowl. If UT had won the east and gone to ATL and got their asses whooped, they would've dropped to one of those tier bowls.

I don't really care about bowls. I'd rather be able to claim SEC east champs. Sugar bowl used to mean you were the best SEC team. This year it means you have the 2nd best record in the east.

I guess the SB money is nice, but does it offset lost revenues from missing the SECCG?

Believe me, it's disappointing, but if the team had shown up against SC, we wouldn't be having this conversation. We'd be in a position to win our next two and possibly go to the CFP.

On Friday night I was at a party and talking to my friend and I was fairly trashed. I was spacing the SC loss and saying all we have to do is win out.

Literally my first thought when I woke up the next morning was that we lost to SC and my heart sank.

I'm choking on the words you shoveled in my mouth. That would be a terrible business decision. In the end, the bowl is secondary to the conference, imo.

yeah I agree its been a long time since a major bowl game -- the 1999 Fiesta was the last one wasnt it ?
