So either way it’s Ecu or Miss st in supers…that’s the only downfall about the 1 seed really..you are guaranteed basically 16 or 17 in supers…no upset…let’s go baby…I’m ready to take them all on!

Regarding the iffy decisions, the committee left out Indiana State, Mississippi State and Duke. The Sycamores hosted and were a national seed last season and were in good shape leading up to the MVC tournament with an RPI of 11. However, the Sycamores are hitting the road, while East Carolina, which has an RPI of 23, is hosting next weekend. Duke and Mississippi State also had strong cases. The Blue Devils won the ACC tournament and finished with 20 ACC wins to go with an RPI of 16, while the Bulldogs finished with 20+ SEC wins and had an RPI of 25. Dallas Baptist, which won the Conference USA tournament title, went 9-2 against Quad 1 teams and had an RPI of 17. It was also in the mix for a host spot.

Then Duke could easily head to ECU as well…

Either Duke or Wake is probably the 2 at ECU. Don’t be surprised if ECU is the 16 seed so a certain matchup falls in place.

Wake cant advance out of a regional…you know this…
I know this but the selection committee has shown time and time again they want storylines. Just like A&M will have Texas in the regional or potential super regional before they join the SEC. It’s all too good to pass up for the money hungry NCAA.

I’m not naive enough to think the selection committee doesn’t have an agenda whenever they place these teams. Same thing happens in the March madness selection process. Why do you think we were matched up against Texas this year? The Texas-Rick Barnes storyline. Same story, different sport. They only care about one thing and that is 💰

Mississippi State or Wake Forest. I think everyone in the country that is a college baseball fan would be tuning into Burns returning to Knoxville. That is must watch television.
