You could get it rolling. My guess is you would give him all the excuses in the world. He didn’t even try when he controlled all of government. He allowed planned parenthood to continue. He allowed to increase the deficit.
Seriously there are several posters on here who actually believed the shut down was designed by trump to lay off tons of useless federal employees. Oops guess that was wrong. Shocking I know. How is draining the swap going again?
Actually the S&P 500 is typically flat during a shut down.
And it rose by 3% during Obama’s shutdown
Here’s how the stock market has handled past government shutdowns
He should have done it when he had full control of government. He didn’t for one reason only. He thought it would hurt him during the midterms. Terrible miscalculation by him. He screwed the pooch.
Yeah, wouldn’t want all those politicians to be late getting home or back to DC.He had to cave because his shutdown was starting to cause real issues, particularly this one:
Airline flight delays were a hiccup, but created pressure to end government shutdown
Do you seriously think Trump has a chance? He's not getting his wall (his signature campaign promise), he's not repealing and replacing Obamacare (another promise), the stock market has started to sputter, and things are just going to get worse with Mueller.
Let's say he doesn't get his wall, who does the public hold responsible? Trump or the Dems who have so vocally opposed him. Same with the repeal of Obamacare,
Me personally, I don't care who wins(as long as it's not Hillary), because all we'll get, no matter who's in office, is more of the same. Politicians are not going to give up their games. But when it comes to placing blame, we know those who lean left will blame the right, and those who lean right will blame the left. Where those in the middle place the blame is totally up in the air and that's where the decision will be made. So yes, I think Trump has a chance.
You can link all you want. We already knew but after yesterday's Stone arrest the credibility of any Mueller investigation is now completely 0.Doubling Down On Dumb Duplicitous Donny
Republican Officials Will Give Trump “Undivided Support,” Despite A Historic Shutdown And The Russia Investigation
I don't think it's that simple. I think the middle is split on the wall. What percentage wants it and what percentage doesn't is up for debate. And before you start reciting polls, we both know on something like this it's hard to really know how accurate they are. This goes beyond politics, beyond Dems and Republicans. I don't support the wall, but I know some who do. Believing everyone mirrors your opinion is what has gotten Dems in trouble the last few years, so you should be careful with your generalizations. Those in the middle don't want the wall.

Dems couldn't imagine Trump getting elected. Surprise.Trump won on two things: the base and the Clinton haters. The Clinton haters, who are independents that broke for Trump, are generally not wall people. Independents are pretty strongly against the wall. I can't imagine this shutdown will cause it to be viewed more favorably.
@NorthDallas40 Been meaning to ask, you get your dollar shave kit yet?Hey... “she’s” never said otherwise.
