I’m going to honor SEMO with my GameDay menu. Before the game ends, I will have consumed a pulled pork sandwich, smoked sausage boudin and then have a BLT at stretch time.
Go Vols.
Hell yea Drew. That’s winning. Enjoy. Make some memories.BLT is the only sandwich I'll have a slice of tomato on it.
I love BLTs so much for some reason.
Also, I like how you have a food plan for the game. I do too, but I'm finding that my roommates and guests like helping out with food prep and maybe that's a hint that I'm doing it wrong, but they say it's not that and that they like keeping busy during the game because even though they are brand new Vol Fans, they have anxiety over the game and food prep helps with that.
At first it was just going to be the 4 of us plus my gf, but then the international students wanted to come over to watch the game, but also cook their favorite dishes while watching the game. Kids are from all over: middle east, Brazil, Thailand, India, Germany, Sweden and a couple of other places.
It's father's day, so my parent's were already going to be visiting, but now my mom is super excited about the game/event/cook-off haha and she's bringing down some neighbors and one of my buddies that just graduated from high school.
Also, when Wilkerson comes on 15 min before the game? He just adds to the tension because he's so amped up and the int'l students are soaking up every word he says and then someone ends up explaining to them what Wilkerson/ Tony V talked about and what it actually means to the game because baseball is brand new to them. Meanwhile, they don't know or care what GT is doing baseball wise. It's all kind of funny to me and I just start giggling sometimes because it's just crazy here right now.
Be patient with them and steady as she goes.BLT is the only sandwich I'll have a slice of tomato on it.
