The Official So Miss @ #1 Tennessee Volunteers Regional Game Thread (Sunday June 2nd 6PM EST) (TV SECN)

I know we have enough problems getting a bunch of old guys like me doing anything technical like logging on to ESPN+.

But would it not be fun to do a group streaming chat like Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Facebook, X or even YouTube. Have several monitors and TVs going with games and stats. Exchanging thoughts on various scotches and bourbons, etc.

Really sucks if they start our series on Saturday. I have a flight back to D.C. on that Monday night so if we lost a game I’d miss the winner-take-all. I hate that we’re probably about to get the Saturday start for the second straight year. Really annoying.
I wanna know if the top seed Vols will ever be the home team again? Or did the ncaatzis make a rule last night that prohibits UT from being the home team in Knoxville until further notice?

With all the streaming and ppv it's become death by a thousand cuts. Might see a resurgence of cable and satellite after all. If I'm honest, sports is about all I watch anymore. TV shows and movies are either reboots of older stuff or utter garbage. Gimme sports, TV Land and classic movies and I'm good.

Sadly it's basically illegal. The hosting account, if caught, would be banned.

I enjoy listening to Wes. Him, Ben McKee and Will Heflin have the best Tennessee baseball podcast out there on GoVols 24/7.
Beats basilly-o but anything does. My only complaint about the 247 podcast is that they are repetitive at times and kinda drone on making a much longer show than necessary. At least it's more professional and they act like adults most of the time.

I dunno... everyone would have to put on a shirt to watch the game. Or at least button one strap of their overalls.

I like the shows being a bit longer tbh. Helps my work day move along a little bit faster lol. They get very in depth, that’s definitely a reason for how long it is.

I just don’t have a problem with Wes and think it’s bizarre how some do. It’s like they want to dislike him, so they come up with reasons to, no matter how ridiculous.

He “makes it about him” because he uses first person pronouns? Seriously? 😂🤣

Columnists provide opinions. The opinions they provide are THEIRS. Wes is a columnist. When one provides one’s own opinion, one must, by virtue of the rules of English grammar, use the first person in order to convey that the opinion is his. This is elementary.

So basically, the problem with Wes is, he’s doing his job. Too many in this fan base just want to be mad at something.
He didn’t do his job well in this case. As someone who’s paid to cover the Vols, Wes should actually look at the box scores and game summaries before espousing his opinion. No objective journalist would say that Dreiling was a surprising pick based on the stats available.

All I know is I switched to Hulu with Disney+ and I get every ESPN channel including ESPN+. I see every game. AT&T internet with 500 Mbps speed with Hulu is $160.00/month. You can get a 65” smart TV for $600.00. It’s easy to set up.

I heard Friday night was absolutely packed. Saturday and Sunday night were really good but less than Friday.
Yeah it was packed , the Indiana game was long and tiring for some I guess , quiet a few around us left in the 7th , to me last night was the loudest start to finish , the group behind first base were awesome all 3 games

There was some disappointment in the Wizard of Oz when they discovered the man behind the curtain, just saying.

His opinions are dumb and wacky sometimes and that’s why people have a problem with him. It’s like that opinionated uncle everyone has. We don’t hate him but there are others that we would prefer to be around.

Actually, lots of random people were taking pics with her, so I just backed off because it was kinda weird.
It’s one thing for the professor, preacherman or Beamers family, but not some random goof at a baseball game.
It has become a little weird because that is the third or fourth year in a row I've had a picture made with her.

That’s different preacherman, you are family, I’m just some guy at the game.
My boy dropped the ball as well. He usually brings baseball cards, balls and pens but didn’t Friday night...Todd Helton walked right by him!🤦‍♂️
My son approached Kirby last night for an autograph and I felt weird about approaching you. That’s special moments that you are trying to spend with your boy and I don’t want to disturb that.
So we did kinda meet last night, just not “officially.”
It was a pleasure to meet you preacherman! 😁
