Sure. But no guarantee either way. Some players are not skilled at bunting. Maybe he bunts it right to the pitcher and the runner gets nailed at home. Then, we likely don't score that second run.
But we don’t ever do it, regardless of batter but I do agree with you on the skill set

Good evening, friend. Respectfully, I believe you misunderstood my post. There is a long history of some regular posters distain for the bunt, even in strategically appropriate times in the game. I was actually just preparing the board for their potential arrival here,
Every time we bunt, nothing good happens. Best to just stay away from it.
It's rare for the clean up hitter to bunt, in general.
We will refrain from using all four letter words that start with b and end with t while txbo is not here. No cursing.
@Voltrapnbama These guys seemed to be on board with my message. And, how bout that army bunt? 😉. Cleanup and all…

I understand that. Granted, I’m not a D1 coach and my kid isn’t a D1 player, she is a clean up hitter and will bunt on demand. In a game that I know will be a tough game, every run matters.
Analytics have shown coaches that it’s best to not sacrifice your outs for runner advancement, unless it’s a situation like the 8th or 9th inning with a runner on 2nd and 0 outs.

I don’t really care what anyone else says about my opinion. But to be fair, I can quote where several agree . Knowing how to quote someone else doesn’t help with the knowledge or discussion of a game. You have provided nothing to the subject.

Lady Vols take the 2-1 win @ 16th ranked KY in extra innings. An error almost cost them. Should have been two outs with a runner on first, but a dropped ball at 2nd led to runners on 1st and 2nd and only one out... BUT Ashley shut the door to close out the win!! Might have been a huge injury on the out. Outfielder and 2nd baseman colided for the the out. TN player still on the ground. Here was the go-ahead run.
