Teams ran on us ALL year last year. The one glaring weakness of that team that really never cost us because we could overpower any team offensively.

Yes, I recall. Pav at least threw SOME runners out the prior year. I would also say we didn’t run the bases well last year either but we overcame it with our offense.

They’re all going pro, at least our starters are. They will be forced to learn how to actually pitch from the stretch when they get to the minors regardless. They might as well learn now, because the pro teams won’t care about it being unnatural.

You need to understand that there’s a difference between a slide step and pitching from the stretch vs full windup.

It doesn’t have to be a slide step, just don’t spend 2 seconds on your leg motion when runners are on. I pitched and didn’t have much of a leg kick at any point, Mariano Rivera is the closest example to how I pitched I can think of. I did fine.
