It's a time and place. In a one run game late sure worth a shot but 8-5 that one run doesn't mean a lot with arguably your best hitter at the plate with two on. Just a dumb call all the way around.

I get the argument and fair point. I think the metrics still say that with 2 strikes you're more likely to get the run home stealing than via a hit. Burke has struggled at times swinging for strike 3.
