Nothing wrong through the tag, but what happened after the play he knew it. That’s gonna be a weird game, whole bunch of guys not gonna get to play tomorrow.

He should have been only one ejected…UGA did great at not escalating matters and rest of Msst guys did good at getting catcher out of there. He just got a little into the moment, hate to see him suspended further for that as well but those are the rules.

One UGA assistant should be out…but the rest? I dunno about that…it’s coming up again soon on SEC Now…we’re talking pitchers in the outfield tomorrow.

Even the announcers are calling horse crap on the other ejections….rule change definitely coming…like they said the MsSt guys were just heading to the dugout…it was end of the inning…of course they aren’t in their positions anymore…oh well…supposedly could carry some 4 game suspensions…I certainly hope not

The majority were definitely trying to diffuse the situation. I also agree the SEC office should step in and use common sense, not to mention the 40 minutes it took to resolve the situation.

This just further cements it in my head that the SEC needs to broadcast the review center in Birmingham (XFL/UFL was the first league I saw do it).

That was an absolute clown show and they shouldn’t be allowed to hide it. Why wouldn’t you want the teams, fans, etc all seeing/hearing that process? Keep it above board.

The announcers had no idea who was ejected. Leaves the viewers wondering and the fans in the stands are totally clueless. Had it happened a few innings earlier you could figure it out. Rare situation on so many levels. It didn’t happen TO us, but it could and I’m sure it will be addressed.

I don’t disagree. I do offer this. A long time ago, 40+ years, I was around 12 years old. Little League age. A girl tried out for my baseball team. We were friends. When we were at recess and we had to “pick teams”, we would choose each other depending on who was doing the picking.

So, when she dropped softball for little league baseball, you can imagine the uproar and people of the same age might have similar stories.

I admit, I knew there was a chance she could, and probably would, take my spot at SS. But, I also didn’t understand why all the parents were complaining about girl’s playing boy’s sports. What were they so upset over? Because, I knew this much…I’d rather be on her team than play against her.

Anyways, for a year of my life, I played 2B.

I know this topic is not that but it was just on the mind.

I played with a girl in little league and she was one of the better players in the league. She could play every position in the field and could hit too. We were always on the same team and made all-stars together every year. Nobody batted an eye because she proved she was just as good, if not better than, most of the boys out there. I felt the same way as you, “I’m glad she’s on our team.”

100% agree. There is no transparency with these reviews. All we get is decisions without explanations.

Know it's still very early, but opportunities like this are huge. Snagging a road series win in this league isn't easy. Snagging this one might turn out to be a big thing when the dust settles. Big, big opportunity today.

If he had done that to one of my guys, I definitely would’ve drawn a suspension.
Talk 💩 all you want, but to stand over the top of him and keep coming at him...the catcher wouldn’t have started game 3 and it wouldn’t be because of a suspension...
Kudos to Georgia because that could’ve escalated very quickly!

He lost his mind. And then the umps lost there’s with a 40 min review. It was simple. You toss the Catcher and whoever from GA (think it was an Assistant Coach) who came flying out of dugout with malicious intent! Should have taken about 3 minutes along with warnings to both dugouts.
