The Official Tennessee @ Florida Series Thread (Fri. May 3rd Game 1 3PM EST, Game 2 after SECNET+) (Sat. May 4th 6:30PM EST SECNET+)

Goodness gracious you cannot hit a batter with a 1-2 count. You’ve got to be better than that. That crap can lose you ball games.
It's a little sweaty/slippery out in the Sun.

I do however like the pace and demeanor of Causey quite a bit.

Base hit up the middle into CF.

Stamos's day is done after 55 pitches and 4 K's. AJ Causey to the mound.

VOLS lead 4-2. Bottom of 4th.

Causey - Hit batter.

*Runners on 2B and 1B with no outs*

Sac bunt. Runners advance.

*Runners on 3B and 2B with 1 out*

Causey - K.

Grounder to Causey. Causey tosses to Burke for the out. UF stands runners on 3B and 2B.

VOLS lead 4-2. End of 4th.

Causey is at 13 pitches and 1 K. UT pitchers have 5 K's on the day.

I want the sweep!

I want the guys posing with more Gator athletic gear in the locker room by Saturday afternoon

It’s about 900 feet. It’s not nothing. Probably the highest elevation anywhere in conference besides arkansas
Baseball carry has much more to do with wind, humidity, pressure and temperature. Ideal conditions for HRs is low air pressure, high humidity, high temperature, and wind blowing out.

Every school in the conference has 3/4 of those things for most of the season.

Vandy isn’t in the mountains

Kentucky’s stadium is cavernous.

Arkansas is in the mountains, but it’s still bigger than ours.

It’s okay to admit our dimensions are small and elevation helps power hitting. It’s not a sin. There’s no rule requiring us to play at old minute made park for our home runs to count.

It’s just as ridiculous how offended our fans get when someone says our dimensions are small as it is for opposing fans to pin all of our offensive success to it
We’re 320 down the lines as well, same as Baum Walker. We hit 12-14 HR’s in a weekend at Auburn this year, we hit 10 vs UK this year in 50 degree weather, we hit 7 in a game vs State at Dudy Noble in 2022, we hit 5 in game 1 at OM in 2022. It is a tired excuse chalking our numbers up only to playing at a friendly park and it’s a really crappy excuse when our pitching staff is only like 4th-5th in the league this year in HR’s given up, why aren’t the opponents hitting them due to the elevation, short dimensions etc? The 2022 team led the nation in ERA while pitching 38 games in that same little league ballpark.

Did you even read what I said in my OP?

These guys realize that Neeley gave up 4 ERs in 4 innings right?
That's a 9.0 ERA if my match is correct?
