I know at the time we couldn’t guarantee him a starting rotation spot, but man I wish we’d gotten Skenes. He would’ve been the Friday guy over Dollander.

that’s the key to lsu when skenes is pitching. You have to keep it close and then best their bullpen.

The fact that Skenes hits 100-102 on nearly every pitch when he averaged 93 mph on his fastball last year is just insane. Nearly 10 mph difference.

Its suspect as much as it is impressive. I can’t believe mechanics can make that much difference or that he purely added natural strength.

I wouldn’t say calling Skenes the freak of nature that he is a nega-Vol thing. Literally no one has touched that guy all year. It’s not a Tennessee issue. Hes just that good.
