The admonishment was likely for not knowing there are no bottom feeders in the SEC, and there are no givens in baseball. Matchups, predictions, RPI comparison's, common opponent comparisons - all those go out the window when it comes to baseball.

For comparison, OLE Miss was a bottom feeder last year and won the national championship.

Fair enough. Just a daunting schedule coming up.

There wasn't a balk, and the crew knows it. There was no start and stop, no start of his pitching motion, or a lean toward the plate. A jump turn and throw to first is not a balk.

Definitely came set. I don’t know enough visually to see balks 90% of the time but the feet looked funny to me. Didn’t really step or jump off, he just kind of pivoted. Don’t know if that was it or not but it looked off to my untrained eye.
