The Official Tennessee @ South Carolina Weekend Series Thread (Fri. 7PM EST SEC NET+) (Sat. 2PM EST & 1 Hour after first game completion SEC NETWORK)

Was anyone else surprised at the paltry home crowd by SC? For a team with a strong baseball history and fighting to host a regional, I was shocked by the lack of support. Vols traveled well.
Apparently there’s some issues between coaches and fans and incidents of player’s parents fighting with fans in the stands. Throw in the losing stretch and it makes for bad vibes at the stadium.

Ok. The hostile vibe (SC fans towards team—not towards UT fans) I was feeling and hearing makes more sense now.

Yes. I think the NCAA took notice also. As much as we like to think they "hate" TN, they want to see the sport grow because it ultimately means more revenue for them. They remember the crowds TN brought the last few years.

Yep. All three. Liked the stadium. Just was referring to how the rows aren’t so tight at SC. Tall people are really uncomfortable at LNS with their knees jammed into seats in front of them.

Aside from the seating being further spaced out, as it relates to LNS, what else do you like about it? Can you still watch the game when you go to concessions? Did they offer more food options? Did they have a store for merch? Was premium seating worth the money, etc…

TVs at all concessions so you can watch game, wide concourses, seats behind home plate and near visitors dugout was in shade, had a merchandise store at entrance, large restrooms, food options included Kabobs and some other interesting options Including soft serve ice cream.

Really nice park.

Back in 2021 when we made the Omaha run and CTV was getting serious interest elsewhere, CTV, Danny White, Plowman, and Boyd all toured Founder’s Park during our series over there. Coach really likes that park and wanted to take some of the aesthetics and put it into LNS. Obviously the work that’s coming to LNS was a big sticking point for him being here long term and signing that deal.

Thanks--that's how I listen at home. Haven't gotten my phone's access to www to talk yet through my car speakers.

Not sure I want to teach this phone any more than it knows already.

I'm quick to jump on IMG and the various streaming options when they don't work...but I'll give them credit. The Varsity App they put out this year has been great.

Its very simple, works quickly, and even has great Apple Carplay/Android Auto integration.

I was wondering. Not counting the berms and walkways beyond right field. Would their field fit in our area if you used all the space between field and sororities and road along left field?
I think so. I wish they could bulldoze the old and outdated fraternities and find a way to relocate them as that would make it a much easier solution to expand LNS’ footprint.
