I think versatility alone makes its a great pick. Who knows what free agency brings us...... I'm hoping we go lineman, receiver/TE (Meyer /Kincaid), lineman with first 3 picks..... Would be ecstatic if we somehow landed Skoronski and Meyer or Kincaid tonight...... Oh my I'd be giddy

Well our prototypical LT we've had played only a handful of games in 3 seasons because of injuries... If he winds up playing LT for us and stays healthy, arm length won't matter if it means not having to go bargain bin shopping for replacement players because our first round tackle can't stay healthy.

I don’t they’re likely to trade back into the first round this year.

Assuming he plays above replacement level. Idk. But I do think he’s a very safe pick but if nothing else, he will be a very good guard.

I don't either. But usually you have to have "your guy" slipping down the board to make that move. Sadly, we have so many holes we have a lot of "our guys" we don't have to rush back into first round for. lol

Also the team would pretty much need to start leveraging/trading next year’s picks.

Right, but if you get your guy, it's worth it. Doesn't really matter if you trade and land 2 quality first rounders in one year and forgo a first next year.....

Plus i'm operating on fact that Titans go 20-0 next year so 2024 first rounder being used to trade into first roudn this year is irrelevant. :)

I will take a bit of a project at WR that stretches the field. Can't believe Mayer is still there as well.

This team needs talent at the skill positions and is a couple years away from serious playoff contention because of it, including at QB.

The Jags and Texans are the teams with the upside.

Yeah. Most are high on drafting TE but Chig is versatile enough I think Mayer makes sense. Given where we are and whos left, I like our options to get a quality pass catcher

I was happy with that pick considering the board. Hopefully, he plugs a hole in the dam for us for at least the five years.

I agree. He can play for another 4-5 years. Johnny Unitas would have sucked behind our o-line from last year.
