Offensive line still needs a lot of work/support as does WR.
I’d be fine with O’Cyrus Torrance (who’s pretty much the best Guard on the board this year) to shore up the inner offensive line.
Likewise, I’d also be fine with Joe Tippmann or John Michael Schmitz to try to better the offensive line at Center.
Improvement at Tight End would also be extremely useful: of the current two top ones in the board, I’d be a bit more inclined toward Michael Mayer because of the better blocking abilities (and this is likely still going to be a run-first team); while Darnell Washington’s size has that “size appeal” everyone is going to fixate on, there are some concerns with his footwork and hand usage being unsound when blocking (an issue which defenders at the NFL level are generally able to slip away from more easily)…he’s a fantastic/intriguing matchup in the red zone, but with this offensive style, the state the offensive line was in last year, and only 5 total picks left, any tight end taken this high today also is going to need to be able to block as well to be worth it.
I know a lot of people really want Tillman or Hyatt because they’re local boys (and in the latter case people want always like the idea of a “chuck it deep” WR), but as sexy as deep passes might be, it won’t matter if the Titans can’t keep whoever’s throwing the ball up on their feet.
(And as a sidebar, I like and appreciate Hyatt for everything he did for the Vols, but I do have some concerns about what his main skill set/talent was in college translating to the professional level, that 4.4 40 time is still very good for a WR but also still discomforting/concerning for that same style at the professional level where many defensive backs tend to have a similar level of speed or be faster…was sort of hoping we would have come out of combine with a faster time.)
Likewise, I still think the team may still be able to address getting a good WR early in the 3rd (or late in the 2nd) round. If Burk is supposed to fill the same role that Brown used to fill for the team, there are still some other good WRs that very much fit the role of regularly making spectacular catches and being able to regularly adjusting their routes in ways that balance out QBs like Tannehill having to throw on the run or regularly under pressure (that pressured, usually sort of off the mark kinds of passing).
