Sure, but that’s not how any of this works. It would be like if we drafted 3 bad RBs in a row so you just assumed the fourth would be bad too. These are independent things
Still insane to me that some on here supported us trading the best WR in franchise history.
My understanding remains that AJ wanted to move on someplace else.
If a guy doesn't want to be in Nashville, then send them packing.
Can't speak for the others, but it certainly wasn't a physical issue. But, you have to also buy in mentally.
AJ wanted to move because they didn’t want to pay him like an elite receiver
My memory is fuzzy. Didn't the owner, Amy, agree to pay him $100m for four years?
Then J-Rob misplayed his hand.
Eagles probably gave him more, but $25m/year is fairly elite. With the o-line they had, that amount would have equaled $500k per catch.
I think JRob put a lot of misinformation out there to try and justify/cover-up his decision making. I remember local on air media saying Brown refused 20 million plus incentives and then went dark.Allegedly, Titans at least offered $20M/yr with incentives. Brown wanted $80M guaranteed then demanded a trade. He got $25M for 4yrs and ~$57M guaranteed from the Eagles.

From what I've heard/read Amy was under that impression too but dug a little deeper and found that wasn't exactly how it happened. JRob kind of unilaterally said take it or leave it and when he left it they traded him. Brown had intended to settle with the help of his agent somewhere in between within the number that Amy had advised JRob to work within.
After that and the embarrassment at Philly making them look foolish she had enough...... She was angry.
J Rob was once a promising GM talent. Unfortunately he found himself in the weeds sheet a couple of picks and gambles didn't pan out. Instead of hitting reset he kept digging the hole for himself.
There were a couple of reasons that the Titans moved on from AJ.My understanding remains that AJ wanted to move on someplace else.

How so?
I remember hearing this early on. May have been from you. But to be honest we have those same concerns with Henry, even more founded from what I understand. It was (just what I heard) that the potential for future issues were there.
