The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

We have a front 1 who I think is really good, but not sold on the other 6…make that two because Tart is solid.
I think you and a many others are sleeping on Landry. I know there's a chance he won't be the same player but if he's close to it he'll be a stud. He was our sack leader the last season he was healthy iirc.

A lot of what if’s there. Also difficult to be back to his old self in only one season and without any real help on the edge

Big Jeff is obviously the anchor, but I would say Denico Autry, Harold Landry, Rashaad Weaver, and Arden Key are all pretty solid as well. Tart has a motor.

I mean, it was already a pretty good group last year.

Agreed on Autry as long as age hasn’t caught up with him yet

Agree on the FG game. We use to be money in that area and the Titans wore out the legs of kickers over the years kicking FGs instead of scoring TDs. Its been a cluster the last few years.

I was cautiously optimistic we could be a playoff team this year...... But after watching them some in limited action I'm not encouraged. I'm afraid injuries are going to really set is back again. So many holes in this roster.

This is what years of poor drafting and trading up gets you. A roster with holes, razor thin depth.

I had hoped we were going to get better on offense and while Hopkins makes this roster better if the best you can put opposite him consistently in Westbrook Akine it isn't going to work. We really need it receivers to stay healthy and that doesn't look very encouraging at this point.

using that Levis pick to get someone that could play this year would have been a good start

Hard to say that at this point. He plays by far the most important position and he lacks competent WR and oline play. So we can’t really evaluate him to say if we would have been better off with someone else

Also the Pats may cut Nick Folk and the Saints Wil Lutz is also in a battle for a spot. Going to be some options for sure.

I don't see it either. I think we are looking at somewhere between 6 and 9 wins. We could get a wildcard spot if we end up on the 8 or 9 win side of that, but I see another year with a lot of grind-it-out, last minute type of games. And you are right about the injury bug. If it hits again, we don't have many tools to overcome it. I would feel so, so much better if our offensive line was at least decent. I really hope they pleasantly surprise me.

Will be interesting to see who gets cut today. The Pats are exploring trade options for Nick Folk. If Lutz is cut by No I think he if the guy. Last year was his worst year but outside of that he has been consistent and still only 28.

Literally no choice but to sign a kicker at this point. There are decent options that look to become available.

I would look into o line and TE options as well. Not where we need to be at TE.

He is a solid kicker but we still don't have the ability to hit a 55+ yarder to win or tie a game like some teams do. His long last year was 54.

I'm also a Cowboys fan so his 18-28 in 2009 is still in the back of my head.
